Social work without borders is a Sierra Leone  charity organization based in Sierra Leone, the objective of the organization is to provide health care, psychosocial therapy, physical and financial support to the elderly and the less privilege

AIMS OF THE PROJECT

To provide basic health care, physical and psychosocial therapy social environment for the elderly and the less privileged 

To provide physical and psychosocial therapy   

To reintroduce the experience of the elderly into reshaping the minds of the young generation

 To provide daily sustenance, financial assistance, medical care, spiritual and emotional support for the elderly

   To empower our children by serving their needs in a way that helps them realizes their potential.     

To empower children through decision making and action initiatives.

To support community self-help programs in order to restore and preserve human dignity,livelihood security, household viability and the environment.

To collaborate with the Government of Sierra Leone, donor partners, NGOs and local authorities.

To promote justice and environmental awareness in the area of operation and Sierra Leone as a whole.

Social Work without Borders is a relief and development organization that animates, sensitizes and support community programs and projects in Freetown and its environs.

The organization´s main areas of intervention include health, clothing, and food security, protection, and sanitation.

About the Founder: Mr. Samuel Koroma

Samuel Koroma is the Founder and C.E.O. of Social Work Without Borders. Driven by a deep passion for helping those in need, he began his humanitarian work in 2016 by supporting school-aged children, particularly those from the provinces, with physical, moral, and financial assistance. During his frequent visits to Sierra Leone, Mr. Koroma recognized a critical gap in support for the elderly, which inspired him to expand the organization’s mission to include their holistic well-being.

Qualifications & Expertise:

Educational Background: He holds a Teacher’s Certificate, a Certificate in Community Development Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Social Work.
​Advanced Studies: He is currently a Master’s student in Child Studies at Linkoping University in Sweden.
​Specialized Experience: Mr. Koroma has extensive knowledge in working with unaccompanied youth and children migrating to Europe, as well as children living with disabilities.

International Coordinator: Mr. Charles Koroma

Charles Koroma serves as the International Coordinator and Director of Social Work Without Borders. With a professional background rooted in social welfare and administration, he plays a vital role in bridging the organization’s international operations between Sweden and Sierra Leone.

Qualifications & Expertise:

Educational Background: He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Social Work.
​Professional Experience: He has extensive experience working as an administrator within different municipalities in Sweden.
​Specialized Knowledge: Mr. Koroma possesses vast knowledge in working with children and families, with a specific focus on the economic sector.
​Local Leadership: He is currently residing in Sierra Leone, providing direct oversight of the organization’s local projects and community engagements.

Our Team Member

Andy Macarthy (Publicity Officer): A student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in football management, based in Sierra Leone.
Kadiatu Kamara (Organizing Secretary): Currently residing in Sierra Leone and managing organizational coordination.
Estella Lucy Kamara (Medical Assistant): A Laboratory Technician based in Sierra Leone, supporting the organization’s health interventions.
Annie Yokota Samura (Spokeswoman): A Law student at Uppsala University.
